(Durham, NC) George Furrer has been promoted to National Marketing Manager for the new Specialty Products Business for SipcamAdvan. Furrer will lead the marketing efforts for the Specialty Products Business Unit which includes turf and ornamental, nursery greenhouse, lawn care, pest control and consumer home & garden markets. As Sipcam Agro USA, Inc. and subsidiaries Advan LLC and Sostram Corporation continue to position for expansion, the creation of the Specialty Products Business Unit sharpens the focus on customer needs.
George will continue to be based in the field and report to Andy Lee, President and CEO. "George has extensive experience in the turf & ornamental, lawn care and nursery green house markets. His role will be to help set SipcamAdvan on the path to achieving our five year goal of becoming a $200 million company by improving our customer's profitability." Asked about his new role, Furrer says, "I look forward to the challenge of building on the foundation we have at SipcamAdvan and working with a great team to reach our goal of becoming a more customer-focused organization." In the interim, George will continue to manage his sales territory in the upper northeast U.S.
